I've become a HUGE fan of Fresh Foam and, in the last three–fourths of a year, have been wearing more and more models from New Balance. As I mentioned before, this model will become a natural extension of your legs. I am typically a stability shoe wearer. I'm eyeing a pair of 860s, and I just purchased the latest Vongo (WOW) last week. Both are conversations for different day.
I've been in the new 880 since last November (thank you NB!!!!!) for a variety of distances, and these are an extremely versatile, plush, supportive addition to my New Balance arsenal. I have been using this shoe for cross training and weightlifting as well. Race Season, for me, begins in about 6ish weeks and the 880 continues to be perfect for longer runs when I want something lightweight.....and shorter runs when I want to Capital 'R' rip. Now I just need to reteach myself how to rip.....
