Saucony Triumph 21 - A Summer Long Run Shoe Has Now Turned Into A Fall Staple

    by Sarah Tampio

When the Saucony Triumph 21 launched in late Spring, I was looking for a new long run shoe to get a head start on summer training. I certainly picked a good one.

I immediately noticed that this shoe can handle distance. The upper disappears on your foot, the toe box is wide enough for long sweaty runs. The 10mm drop is great for my stride, and I often choose a 10mm drop for longer distances. The PWRRUN+ cushioning is underrated, and does not get the accolades it deserves. This cushioning stays springy and responsive for miles and miles.

When Coach Ross challenged me to a “fast finish long run” – one Saturday morning Team Philly long run – the Saucony Triumph 21 delivered. The heel to toe transition works when I am running/walking or doing a combo of both.

Most sock liners are a thin barrier between your foot and the midsole of the shoe. However, this shoe contains PWRRUN+ in the liner providing even more cushioning. I would recommend this shoe for neutral runners/walkers who do not wear insoles and are looking for a training and race day shoe all–in–one. The Saucony Triumph 21 is also vegan and contains an unspecified amount of recycled materials.

    Happy Fall All!!!
