What’s up Philadelphia…..and friends joining us from around the world! Here are a few things we’re excited about in the Robust Realm of Running!
Locally
It’s Philly 10K Week! Year X (that’s 10). For all things Diadora and Philly 10K, click HERE, HERE, and/or HERE. That last “HERE” contains a link to our limited-edition apparel (wink wink).
Nationally
The 51st running of the ASICS Falmouth Road Race was this past weekend in Massachusetts. Falmouth is one of the premier road races each summer. WILD FAST times this year!
Globally
The 2023 World Athletics Championships kicked off last Saturday in Budapest, Hungary. Also sponsored by ASICS. Highlights included:
Final event, Heptathlon: 800 meters. United States’ Anna Hall needed to win by 3 seconds over defending champ, Great Britian’s Katarina Johnson-Thompson, to claim the title. And Anna won…..by 1.5 seconds. Make every second count, right KJT?
Two (2) Dutch athletes, um, stumbled on their way to the finish line. That’s kind of a pun, but not really…..
Noah Lyles shocked the Worlds (ok, that’s really a pun) by winning the 100 meters. He’s the favorite for the 200. Can he get the illustrious double?
Grant Holloway with the three–peat.
Sha'Carri Richardson. Fast. Record. CHAMPION!
Here’s the remaining schedule…..
Have a great week! If you can't wait that long, stop into one of our stores (Center City, University City, Manayunk, or Glen Mills) to say hello. We’ll see you back here for next Monday’s recap.
