This is NOT a recording..... The ASICS Novablast 5, one of the most anticipated shoes of the year, again made its debut in extraordinary fashion. Yes, instead of waiting patiently for its early December 2024 release date, the Novablast disrupted things and commanded a “major” presence at this year's New York Marathon. This time, it was the Greyish Purple/Coral Reef colorway in both men's and women's that was seen all over the 5 Boroughs. I first noticed them at Bandit's popup store in Manhattan and SERIOUSLY considered picking up a pair.
Privy to "insider information", I had already heard rumors that Philadelphia Runner might have the Novablast 5 in stock – just in time for the Philadelphia Marathon. Could I wait? With the Rothman 8K on my race calendar, I was already anticipating and envisioning the miles I was going to crush in this lightweight juggernaut. I knew about the new midsole accompanying the Novablast 5, and the soft bounciness that it would deliver. I knew that the shoe would be LIGHT with a roomy toe box. And I knew how great the outsole grip and traction would be.....it's late Autumn approaching early Winter and we can expect more moisture on the ground.
So I made the purchase from Philly Runner! I also wanted to be the first person in Original Propaganda Athletic Club (OPAC) with the Novablast 5. If OPAC had a team shoe, it might be the Novablast. Definitely a lot of pairs floating around the crew.
