We’re 3 days away from the races of Philadelphia Marathon Weekend. We’ve been celebrating all month, and hope you have with us! The City of Philadelphia is known for having passionate fans. Last year at this time I was talking about how cheering for the Phillies was a sore subject. Whammy. Next year, right? Like FOR REAL! I feel as if I jinked the Phils so I’m just going to leave the rest of our professional teams alone haha. For the city! But you know…..YOU KNOW…..Philly fans are loud and proud.
We’re the same way when it come to supporting our loved ones, ESPECIALLY at big races! For the Philadelphia Marathon races this year, your Philadelphia Runner family will be setting up FOUR (4) Cheer Stations. If you’re looking for a spot to cheer on your family members, running buddies, and a few thousand strangers, join us! We'll kick off our Cheer Zone parties with the following:
Cheer & Gear Run – Thursday, November 21st at 6PM:
Join us for a group run with ASICS at 6:30PM and stick around post run for shopping specials, sign making for our half and full marathon cheer zones during race weekend (see below), and more. Whether you are running the 8K, Half, or Full Marathon for the first time or you've lost count of how many times you've run these courses, having the right expertise and gear can make all of the difference on race day. This event is open to everyone so bring a friend and get ready for one of our favorite weekends in Philadelphia! You can find a comprehensive Race Day Checklist HERE.
