Did you know both Philadelphia Runner and Students Run Philly Style (SRPS) are celebrating their 20th anniversaries this year?!?!? Our celebration continues with SRPS' Extra Mile Kick–Off Party, which opens the door for Philadelphia Distance Run (PDR) weekend. Friday, September 13th, 6p–8p. CLICK HERE for the rundown!
Did you know that you can still register for PDR? Yep, registration for the Half Marathon and 5K is open. You can sign up online and then head to Philadelphia Runner Center City, 1711 Walnut Street, to pick up your bibs OR pay for race day bib pickup during the registration process.
Let's see if we can answer any additional questions about this weekend!
Where do I pick up my bib, shirt, etc.?
Bib pick–up is at Philadelphia Runner Center City starting Thursday, September 12th – Saturday, September 14th between 11AM – 6PM each day. After you pick up your bib in the store, you will head across the street to the Walnut Garden to pick up your race shirt and check out PDR merchandise. ** Please note that ID is required to enter the Walnut Garden – folks must be over 21, or anyone under 18 must be accompanied by someone over 21 **
There is no general race day bib pickup but if you would like to pick up on Race Day, you can purchase through your RunSignup account. For additional information, or if you have any questions, please email: info@philadelphiadistancerun.com.
For virtual participants, your bib and shirt will be shipped.
I can't pick up my race bib, can a friend get mine for me?
Sure! Just make sure they have your registration confirmation or ID. If someone cannot pick up their bib at The Expo, PDR will be offering a race morning paid pick up option. Please note: PDR cannot guarantee accommodation for anyone who cannot get their bib prior to race day.
How do I get to the race?
Public transportation is recommended. The start and finish are accessible by SEPTA (Market–Frankford Line to 15th Street Station or Drexel Station at 30th Street), Uber/Lyft, and Indego.
Parking around the start/finish of the race is limited. Due to the road closures and the extended no parking areas, we suggest looking for street parking and avoiding areas within 4 blocks of the start and finish. Use https://www.bestparking.com/ to find parking lots around Eakins Oval.
Where does the race start?
Start Line: 22nd & Ben Franklin Parkway
The 5K begins at 7AM and the Half Marathon begins at 7:30AM.
Can I check a bag at the start?
Yes there will be a gear check tent at Eakins Oval. All bags must be checked at least 30 minutes before the start of the Philadelphia Distance Run.
