Last August, Diadora released a brand–new shoe right on the dawn of The Philly 10K. This August – wash, rinse, and repeat! The Diadora Mythos Vigore 3 comes to us with the goal of eliminating the barriers between you (myself included) and our runs. The Blushield technology, which covers the entire foot area, provides superior cushioning and stability while minimizing any asymmetric foot behavior.
Blushield is the only technology on the market that is capable of reducing the asymmetrical ride between feet. This makes it a premier technology meeting all runner needs — whether a hyper–pronator, supinator, or a neutral gait. Featuring TRX (Transposed Running Experience) technology, the Vigore manages overpronation from mid–stance to toe–off, offering the benefits of a dual–density insert without the added stiffness or weight.
Recently released Diadora models such as the Gara Carbon, Frequenza, and Atomo V7000–2 have been receiving accolades, and we should expect the new Vigore to fit right in. Selfishly, as a supinator, I get extremely excited when a new stability update hits the market, and subsequently the legendary Shoe Wall at Philadelphia Runner. I like this for weekday mileage, weekend long runs, and/or August 25th in South Philadelphia.
The Tech Talk:
The Mythos Vigore 3 is a proud member of the Diadora family that blends an Anima compound with Blushield technology to deliver superior stability and protection. Designed to offer unmatched comfort and stability, the Vigore 3 effectively addresses the asymmetrical behavior of the feet and transforms uneven foot placement into a balanced run.
Product Features:
Removable DDATTIVO insole technology – a high–density foam, fully ventilated with a high absorption and desorption capacity, 100% breathable. It minimizes the thermal sensation and has antibacterial components that help eliminate odors.
Anima technology increases midsole responsiveness by 30% compared to the EVA light compound, enabling a faster response by the shoe when hitting the ground. At the same time, the midsole weight is reduced by 20%, for lighter steps and longer runs.
Blushield technology across the entire foot area minimizes the asymmetrical behavior on the feet.
CCB technology, a medial stabilizer created to control torsional stability of the area of the arch support, giving the shoe lightness and stability without altering shock absorption.
FLEXOFT technology, a rubber and foam compound developed to guarantee lightweight , flexibility, shock absorption and better propulsion in the forefoot area.
Special wear–resistant Duratech 5000 technology, a special wear–resistant rubber compound assuring a far higher wear resistance than standard rubber, offering an effective solution to shoe heel wear.
