For Philadelphia running, The Philly 10K is the Equator or Prime Meridian. On the one side, it marks the end of the summer running/racing season. It simultaneously indicates the beginning of the fall running/racing season.
This year represents our largest changes to the race since 2014: there will be three (3) bib options to choose from, plus the addition of the Philadelphia Runner Mile and Kids Dash at the new home for the Diadora Kickoff Party in Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) Park.
There is a ton happening before Sunday, August 25th. The Olympics are currently in full swing. As I type, USA is ahead in the overall medal count, but trailing in golds. College Football Week 0 is on deck soon. And speaking of "on deck".....the Phillies.....STILL (heavy sigh) too early to comment!
Philadelphia Runner will have new apparel styles from Vuori, On, Cotopaxi, and Nike this month. As well as new PR Apparel, including the latest 20th Anniversary items. As far as what's on our feet?
Brooks Ghost Max 2 – sequel to the super popular Ghost Max. Word is the Max 2 is a favorite of Jeremy Renner. You know it's proper if Hawkeye is running in it!
HOKA Mach X 2 – sequel to the tremendously popular Mach X. The original X introduced me to supertrainers last year. Changed the trajectory of my running experience!
New Balance Balos – highly anticipated, very bouncy trainer. I first saw this shoe last November and it's been on my calendar ever since!
Nike Pegasus Plus – also dba The Nike Pegasus Turbo 4! The Nike Turbo.....IYKYK. I've never had a bad race in a Peg Turbo. Ever!
On Cloudsurfer Next – sequel to the extremely popular Cloudsurfer. Max cushioning sans (without) Speedboard!
As always check out some of the events that your Philadelphia Runner Family has lined up for you. That information can be found HERE.
