Summer is officially here. But before we wrap a bow on the month of June, this weekend will be a movie (Millenials, did I get that right?!?!?)!
Penn Relays Summer Showcase has its final meet this Saturday, June 29th. Brigham Young University (BYU) runner James Corrigan has asked us all to attend and cheer him on to the Olympics. This call to action has been receiving a TON of buzz and your Philadelphia Runner Family is talking about it. You're gonna be there, right?
The very next day, Sunday, June 30th, we’re teaming up with our friends at Nike, South Jersey Running Company, and Bryn Mawr Running Company to celebrating the launch of the Nike Pegasus 41! Details can be found HERE. You still have time to order a pair of the new Peg online and pick up from your nearest Philadelphia Runner location. Wanna try them out first? Then I'll see you at the event, where there will be demo pairs for you to try on and run in. THEN..... order a pair online!
Back to July. Our nation's birthday is actually on the 2nd, but we celebrate on the 4th. My birthday is on the 27th, and I'll be celebrating on the.....27th.

What else is cooking? USATF Olympic Trials end on Sunday, so we'll know who's representing the country in Paris. The opening ceremony of the Olympics is scheduled to take place on the day before my aforementioned birthday.
Euro and Copa America has me locked to the television. I'm still getting out for runs. I think I'm running a bit faster to get back to the TV quicker. And have you seen the new PR Cross Body Bag?!?!?
