At one of the last United States stops of Like the Wind's Global Run Culture Tour, Vanessa Peralta-Mitchell of VCPM Game Changers, Josh Fernandez of Queer Run, and LtW writer Aaron Nixon shared with their Philadelphia running community incredible and uplifting "stories of personal struggles, vulnerability and success".
Diadora, along with your Philadelphia Runner family, played cohosts for this groundbreaking experience. I really hope you were able to attend. And if you did.....it was great to see you there!
Like The Wind is a quarterly print magazine dedicated to exploring the culture, history and social issues endemic to the world of running. Its pages are filled with a diverse collection of stories about running, interwoven with stunning photography and illustrations. The first issue was released on our planet ten (10) years ago, and their latest issue, #41, was released on the day of the event. Issue 41 asks and explores this powerful question: What does it mean to be a female runner in 2024?
The night's swag: Yards beers, Athletic Brewing non-alcoholic brews, seltzers, magazines, tees, and stickers.
I personally know/knew Aaron, Vanessa, and Josh before the event.....and still left the Bok Building feeling more enriched and inspired than when I arrived. Please be sure to click the links in this article to continue to follow their respective journeys of resilience and triumph.
Drop us a line if you have any pictures/feedback about this historical evening of global run culture, storytelling and connection. And keep it locked here for future events from your Fam at PR!
