Philly Run Fest Week! Life happened, summer started (unofficially), and you're now hustling to prepare your Race Day fuel and fit? We got you! Here's a quick checklist to make sure you have everything you need before you head out to Fairmount Park this Sunday.
1. There is still a little time to get into a new pair of shoes if you'd like. Nothing has changed with me, I'm still a "break them in the day before the race" person.....so they're EXTRA FRESH! ASICS is a race sponsor, and popular models such as the Nimbus and Kayano are waiting for you on our store walls (and online).
2. Rep Philadelphia Runner. Tons of pre-race, race, and post-race styles to choose from.....including our limited-edition 20th Anniversary Collection!
3. Purchase a hydration supplement. Regardless of the weather (it's gonna be hot this Sunday), hydrating is key.
4. Nutrition is ALWAYS essential. Make sure you stock up for that last easy run, your shakeout, and of course…..race day!
5. Don’t forget very important accessories such as socks, hats, and sunglasses.
6. I say it all the time: Body Glide. Trust me. And…..you’re welcome.
7. If you are like me and want new footwear for every big race…..check out some of the new releases highlighted on #MYPHILLYRUN BLOG. Look for articles beginning with 'Launch Day' or 'Launch Season'. We'll be adding items this week as well!
8. Have a good time. Walking, jogging, running, and/or racing should be fun.
