You’ve probably been asked why you run a time or two. You’ve probably spent some time thinking about why you run too. In our stores (listed below), we hear this question a lot. Some days the answer is easy, other days it’s harder to put into words.
The truth is, we all have our own reasons for running. We each have the reason we started to run, and we all find reasons to continue. Some are universal, we can all relate to them. Some are more personal. Some are serious, some are silly. We run for reasons that are obvious and reasons that are more obscure or harder to understand. We run for reasons we are trying to figure out. We run for emotional, physical, and mental health reasons. Our reasons keep us going. They get us to lace up our shoes and keep us moving forward.
Depending on the day, we can all probably list plenty of reasons why we don’t want to run. There are days when you lose the battle versus the snooze button, you don’t have the time or energy to squeeze in some miles between all the other things you have going on, or you just don’t feel like running. On those days it can be hard to remember your why. Your reasons to run.
In 2020 we launched "Today's Reason to Run". We compiled a collection of reasons from staff, friends, and a mix of other sources to keep you motivated, inspired, and most importantly – running. From holidays to moments in history, we had a little bit of everything and…..should we bring this back?!?!? Drop us a line and let us know…..
