Broad Street is less than 2 weeks away friends! Trust me, you don't want to wait until the last minute to start prepping your Race Day fit and fuel. Here's a quick checklist to make sure you have dotted that last 'i' and crossed that last 't' before heading to Broad Street & Fisher Avenue.
1. There is still time to get into a new pair of shoes if you'd like. Buy them now, and you have plenty of runway to break them in before May 5th. Altra is a race sponsor.....would be a good look!
2. Don’t know what to wear? You can always rep Philadelphia Runner. Tons of pre-race, race, and post-race styles to choose from.....including our limited-edition 20th Anniversary Collection!
3. Purchase a hydration supplement. Regardless of the weather, hydrating is key. Especially if you're layering up to combat the rain and/or wind. As of right now.....NO RAIN on the forecast!
4. Nutrition is ALWAYS essential. Make sure you stock up for that last easy run, your shakeout, and of course…..race day!
5. Don’t forget very important accessories such as socks, hats, and sunglasses.
6. Body Glide. Trust me. And…..you’re welcome.
7. Need a new watch? Want a new watch? Yes.....
8. If you are like me and want new footwear for every big race…..check out some of the new releases highlighted on MPR. That's #MYPHILLYRUN BLOG if this is your initial voyage with us. And yes, we already talked about sneakers. But is there a such thing as 'too much sneaker talk'? Nope! Look for articles beginning with 'Launch Day' or 'Launch Season'.
9. Have a good time. Walking, jogging, running, and/or racing should be fun.
